It has been reported (via Stephanie Weitzman on Facebook) that fall has arrived because JP Licks in Newton is selling noodle kugel ice cream! Even though “de gustibus non disputandum est” — there is no accounting for taste– I ask you whether it is delicious or disgusting? I will refrain from purchasing same unless your gustatory experiences compel me otherwise.
A Cone of Pasta?

Fall has certainly NOT arrived. The kugel seasonal flavor has only to do with the Jewish Holiday which begins Sunday evening, September 13th. With temps in the 90’s this week, and the calendar declaring that September 22nd is the first day of fall, I doth protest.
I doth second that protest. Summer ends soon enough as it is.
I’m still interested to hear the verdict on the noodle kugel ice cream though
I’m thinking yuch, but willing to listen to raison.
@Sallee – you mean listen to raisin? :)
We have a few folks in this house who were ready to roll to JP Licks when we read the news. (Haven’t gotten there yet)
I must have been looking for a “raison d’etre!” (Can’t believe I misspelled raisin! Of course, I meant raisin! All good kugels have raisins!) Have you tasted it? Is it worth the trip and calories?
@Sallee – Haven’t gotten there yet, but tomorrow night is looking promising
@Sallee – Happy to report that my family finally got there over the weekend and sampled the kugel ice cream. Received very favorable reviews!
