The Newton Conservators are hosting the June Doin’ festivities at Nahanton Park on the Charles River.
They’ve got activities going on all day long – everything from fishing contests, canoe/kayaking tours, bird walks, bug safaris, tree climbing, hiking.
Bring your picnic lunch and they’ll provide the drinks and cookies – thanks to Wegman’s and Whole Foods.
It’s all free except for canoe or kayak rental ($15 – $20)
