Newton school parent and Williams School Creative Arts & Science co-chair Liz Padula shares this event:
Swing into Spring Jazz concert featuring Semenya McCord on Friday April 10th, 7-10pm at Newton South High School.  This concert is in support of the city-wide arts and science public school enrichment program, Creative Arts & Sciences.  This program has been in the city for over 30 years and this is our first public fundraiser.  This program is independently funded by each elementary school and middle school PTO and it is a major way that our schools see authors such as Grace Lin, Ruby Bridges and science programs such as Wingmasters and cultural programs such as immigration programs from the Tsongas Industrial Center.  Details below:

Please join friends from all over Newton to celebrate Creative Arts & Sciences and raise money for next year’s Concert Series programming.

This year’s Concert Series presenter Semenya McCord returns to Newton for a very special one-night engagement. Joining Semenya are Frank Wilkins, Dave Zox, Alvin Terry, Arni Cheatham, Mike Peipman, and Bobby Tynes. Enjoy a diverse evening of jazz styles celebrating an American art form.
