In a shocking turn of events, Waban has demanded that the city install parking meters in Waban Square. The village long known for its aversion to parking meters seems to have had a change of heart.
Said a spokesperson for the Waban Improvement Society “dealing with the quarters when you’re just running a quick errand will be annoying but without parking meters, we’ll never be a top tier village.” Answering villagers concerns, the proposal has been amended to have the parking meter fees only apply to non-Waban residents.
Besides, everyone knows that Wabanites don’t carry anything smaller than $10,000 bills.
It looks like American Express Black Cards would work and who goes there without one.
