As I try to wrap up “Legendary Locals of Newton,” someone just mentioned hockey Hall-of-Famer Leo Boivin to me. Apparently he lived in Newton for some, if not all, of his years with the Bruins. This person remembered the city flooding the tennis courts in Newton Highlands and Boivin teaching kids how to play hockey.
Does anyone share this memory? Or have another one that confirms that Leo Boivin lived in Newton? If so, please share here or email me at gailspector1 at gmail.com. Thanks!
