The Newton Tab reports that the city is looking for volunteers to sit on the Newton Conservation Commission.
The Conservation Commission oversees all of the state and local wetland protection regulations and is the custodian of all the city’s conservation land. They are particularly looking for people with a background or skills in science, engineering, law, real estate, planning, or related fields. Send resumes to Ana Gonzalez ([email protected]).
The Conservation Commission (ConCom) is an important board that has significant input into all development and parks that are anywhere near bodies of water or wetlands.
