As the state rolls out this year’s Car-Free Week (the week before Newton’s Walk-Bike Week, Oct. 4-11), it’s advertising the raffles available to commuters taking the bus, train, bike, foot, or tele-commute to work.
With a grand prize of $150, you could afford to tune up that beater bike in the garage. Or just get a fine dinner at one of Newton’s fine establishments.
But even if you don’t win, biking or walking to work will get you in shape for the 20-mile Tour de Newton! (October 6–just 26 days away!)
