Hello Families, Friends and Staff of the West Suburban YMCA!
We are SO happy to announce that More Than a Building – a song written, performed and produced by our students, has been chosen as one of the top 7 Semi-Finalist submissions in the YMCA of the USA’s songwriting competition “Sing Out for the Y”! Our kids are now in the running to have the opportunity to perform their song for the General Assembly of the YMCAs in Philadelphia, PA from July 18th – 21st.
From here, the top 7 semi-finalists will be hosted on the YMCA of the USA’s Facebook page Y Staff and Volunteers where the public can vote. On May 24th the judges will reconvene, take into account the public’s vote and then choose the top three finalists to perform.
