Tucked in an “update” in this week’s Friday Packet is the big news: the MSBA has approved the Angier process so far and is allowing Newton to continue to design a new Angier on the current site.

“We’re pleased that on Wednesday, April 3rd,the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) voted to approveNewton proceeding to do the schematic design for a replacement ofthe Angier elementary school with a new building on the existing site.”

There are nine contenders for Construction Manager, and the next vote of the MSBA is Oct 2, if all goes as planned.

Otherwise, besides the big zoning roll-out Monday, there is discussion in Real Property of the 70 Crescent St. building, formerly home of Parks & Recreation.
