Just when it looked like the Aldermen had finished with one effort to streamline cafe furniture permitting, another proposal comes along! Since both are from the Planning Department (with some Health Department help), they are probably related–the new ones look to deal with the higher costs of determining proper sitting and easing some parking requirements for restaurants that put seats outside (one assumes restaurants want more seating, not less).

Speaking of parking, there’s another chance to catch the draft Parking Management Plan presentation on Wednesday, before Public Safety. I’ve colored this one half in environmental green and half in land use/village vitality orange, since it touches both–probably the latter more, but the League’s committee focusing on it is environmental.

Other new items on homebuyer assistance and homelessness prevention.

The Angier Working Group has a nice update; worth reading. And in case you haven’t stopped by a mayoral Town Hall on the override–there’s a full schedule. Where? All here.
