Emily Ostrower, Countryside School’s principal for the last ten years, announced today that she’ll be retiring at the end of this school year.
I for one will be sorry to see her go. My family moved to Newton about four years ago specifically for the schools. My daughter was just entering first grade at the time and Countryside became her new school. We couldn’t have asked for better.
From my daughter’s reception as a new student, to all the excellent teachers she’s had, to the very active Countryside parent community – its all been great. Much of the credit for all that goes to Principal Ostrower.
We’ll be very sad to see her go and hope whoever succeeds her can fill her shoes.
