You’re all invited to Village 14’s first birthday party on Wed Dec 12, starting at 7:30 PM at Mick Morgans on Needham St.
We know that many of you have been wracking your brains for birthday presents – “what do I buy for a community blog that has everything”. Well we have two suggestions. In lieu of the lavish birthday present for Village 14 that you might have been planning, we’ll instead be collecting donations on the night of the party for Newton Food Pantry, a local volunteer organization that provides a three day supply of food for Newton residents in need. So come wish us a happy birthday and empty your wallet or write a check for a good cause. In the meantime, drop off any non-perishable foods you have for the Food Bank to Hammond Residential Real Estate (1631 Beacon Street, Waban) during office hours.
We’ll also be collecting “What I want for Newton” birthday wishes from all willing participants. This is your chance to post to the blog on any topic near and dear to you, rather than just commenting on our posts. Write up your blog post of “What I want for Newton” and bring it to the party. If you’d rather talk then write, we’ll also have a video recorder there and you can record your video wish at the party. After the party we’ll post all your birthday wishes for the city on Village 14.
