Favorite police blotter story of the week …
Police responded to Beacon Street and Lake Avenue on Saturday after a party reported someone threw his bicycle into Crystal Lake and then proceeded to get in an argument with him.
According to reports, the bicycle owner left his bike on the edge of Crystal Lake and walked to his friend’s house on Lake Avenue. When he returned to the bike, he found it had been thrown in the lake.
The bike owner retrieved the bike and proceeded to walk a bit before finding another male who he confronted about throwing the bike into the lake. The two began to argue and the male who reportedly threw the bike into the lake made a threat toward the bike owner.
The male denied making any threats and it was unclear whether the bicycle was damaged. Both males also denied knowing each other.
Police reportedly called parents to come pick up the boys.
