From yesterday’s Boston Globe ….
But right now people like Charlie Shapiro, a former Newton alderman attending a Democratic caucus where Kennedy appeared last month, just wish he would stand still long enough so that they can snap a picture of him.
“I don’t think it should be a cakewalk because of the name, of course,’’ Shapiro said, “But I think he is going places and I would like a photo of him.’’
Only a slight misquote. What I actually said was: “I don’t think it should be a cakewalk because of the name, of course, but its potentially an exciting continuation of the Kennedy family legacy and it would be great to have a photo with him.’’
The article makes it sound like he was rushing through and it was hard to catch up with him for a chat or a picture. Nothing could be more wrong. He stopped to take pics with anyone who asked. Very gracious guy and I think with some hard work he’ll make a good congressman.
