| Newton MA News and Politics BlogNewton Theatre Company — a program of Newton Community Pride — will host its first Kids Day on Saturday, July 7, 11AM to 4PM, at the Hyde Bandstand (next to the Hyde Community Center on Lincoln Street in the Highlands).  Kids 3-12 years old — and their parents/guardians — are invited to drop by anytime to enjoy live music, crafts, and readings of three Junie B. Jones stories.  The event is free, with a bake sale and optional donations to NTC.  Teens or adults who would like to volunteer at the event should contact Abby Lass at [email protected]

The Newton community is so fortunate to have a wide range of quality theater from so many local sources — nomadic, high school, City Hall, and otherwise.  Watch for NTC’s free presentation of Iphigenia at Aulis on the Newton City Hall War Memorial steps, June 26-29.
