One more, @Jerry and @amysangiolo:
On Thursday night, May 17 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, U-Chan (Uniting Citizens for Housing Affordability in Newton) is hosting the fourth and final event in its four-part series on housing affordability in Newton. This session (at the Eliot Church) will include a facilitated discussion on the following question:
“What are the common values Newton residents can agree upon and adhere to as the city undertakes planning for a city that ensures adequate housing for all its current and future residents?”
Based on the robust discussion on the below post, it does seem like this is an important question for us all 🙂
Great list but there are a couple of additional meetings of which I am aware:
The monthly meeting of “I Remember When the Newton Tab Published More Than Just Scholastic Scores” will be held in the Newton North parking lot May 16 at 7pm. (6-3 Newton over Weston yesterday, BTW)
The “Shuttle Newton on an Ultimate Bus (SNUB)” will conduct its annual meeting at the Washington St. bus stop (eastbound) near Trader Joe’s on May 17 at 5:30am. Both attendees are urged to take public transportation.
A special meeting of The Serial Newton United Busybodies (SNUBB) will be held at City Hall at 6pm on May 22. Anyone with ideas on how the city government can be used to change what you don’t like about how other people live their daily lives is urged to attend. Please read the Mayor’s transition team’s manifesto in advance of the meeting.
Oh yes, and one more.
The final two performances of the Newton Nomadic Theater’s totally ridiculous Dracula: The Bloody Truth on Fri and Sat, 7:30 PM at Gregorian Rugs.
Tickets and info here.
Thank you Jose, I plan to attend all three. I also enjoy watching Greg Schwartz conduct Land Use meetings. I laugh at his antics.
Laredo was more conventional. Greg thinks he is conducting an out patient clinic.
