The Newton Rotary Club will host the fifth annual “Newton Has Talent” event to help showcase Newton’s “undiscovered” talent and to help raise money for local community programs. The event, which is part of Newton Community Pride’s month-long Festival of the Arts celebration, will take place on Saturday, May 13 from 7:30 -9:30 p.m. at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC located at 333 Nahanton Street in Newton Centre.

Here’s a video from last year:

This annual tradition and entertaining evening has brought together a diverse group of musical talent who live, work, and attend school in Newton. “We’re excited about this year’s event which will not only bring together local people, but also offer prizes of $1,000, $750, and $250 to the winners along with matching charitable contributions to community organizations,” said Tom Keery, Chairman of Newton Has Talent.

Tickets are on sale now and available for $10 per adult, $5 per student, and free for children under five years of age. For more information on the 10 finalist performers or to purchase tickets, visit newtonhastalent.com.

The Rotary Club of Newton has been serving the community for over eight decades, with scholarships for graduating seniors, assistance to families in crisis, recognizing high school students involved in outstanding community service, providing financial support to community groups, developing young leaders, collecting for food pantries, and more. We hope you’ll attend and support Newton Has Talent and help us in this important work.
