Newton and Needham officials are moving forward with plans to close the bridge connecting Elliot Street in Newton with Central Ave. in Needham for up to six months starting in July 2016, the Needham Times reports.

Sooooo the 59 bus will now get stuck in the traffic on Needham street all the time, and I guess the folks that get on between there and Highland ave will have to suck it up and deal…
Now we need the bridge replaced, and closing it 100% means a faster project for sure but why no mention of what will happen to the MBTA bus in the presentation?
