I haven’t seen any official signage, but it looks like the Newtonville Subway was “coming soon” longer than it was “open now.” The tables are gone and I haven’t seen the “open” sign on at any time you’d normally expect.

Wondered about this, too. Wouldn’t patronize the place anyway, but strange to have it sitting there for so long.
I’ve been wondering. My kids actually like Subway, and they have been commenting on its on again/off again status.
And I’ll also note that the signs at the former Bread and Chocolate say Bread and Chocolate 2.0 is coming. IS that just a horrible lie? If so, please take down the signs someone and quit teasing me.
there have been a few retail changes over the past few months. The bank hasn’t yet opened in the old pet store, not sure what’s happening there, and a barbershop appears to be going in where a nail salon closed.
I am told the Subway will be re-opening soon.
