From Newton City Hall…
To All Newton Residents,
As you all probably know, the forecast for a prolonged snow storm has shifted to include all day Sunday, February 8th. While it is never easy to know when to alter schedules based on the forecast, there are already mounds of snow the City is attempting to move before we get more snow. Therefore, in the interest of public safety and ensuring that the meeting is accessible to all interested members of the community, we are postponing the 3rd community meeting on the Austin Street parking lot project scheduled for Sunday afternoon. We are in the process of rescheduling the meeting and will be in touch once a new date and time has been secured.
For questions, please contact James Freas at [email protected].
NEWTON HIGHLANDS HISTORIC DISTRICT MEETING ALSO CANCELLED.
We have also decided to cancel the community meeting relevant to establishing a local historic district in Newton Highlands. That was also scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We are rescheduling this for sometime in mid to late March when the weather will hopefully be more agreeable.
A notice on the city’s website shows the Open Community Meeting is rescheduled to this Sunday, March 1, 2015
from 1 – 3 pm at the NNHS Cafeteria.
