OK we don’t usually stray from Newton on this blog except in special occasions. This is one. Go Sox.
Surely there are Newton residents among the Red Sox roster; there certainly have been in the past.
Ted Williams lived in Upper Falls, Doug. Go Sox.
The Sox only need to play 500 ball for the rest of the season.
One more win- anyone going to Game 6?
Unless that’s an invitation Doug I’m planning on doing what the Yankees are doing: Sitting at home watching.
I got nothing- I was lucky and was able to go to Game 1, but I’m happy to watch/celebrate at home.
John Lester lives in Newton. Not sure who else….
Doug – you got to go to Game 1? Lucky you!
I’m actually not watching on TV due to being superstitious – following along on Boston.com and only turning on the TV at times they have a clear lead (so I did see the last parts of Game 1). Yes, I know it’s silly…
A friend with a ticket had to be out of town. Lucky indeed. As they won, I was hoping she would also be superstitious, but no word on that yet 🙂
Felix Doubront lives in Watertown but had a lobster roll from Steamers in Nonantum before every regular season home game he started.
Hope that applies to World Series relief appearances too.
Yeah, that was great for Dominic at Steamers. I stopped by shortly after that Herald article and he seemed a little shell-shocked; they sold a ton of lobster rolls that week. He knew the article was coming but he didn’t know what day. I hope it continues.
