Tom Sheff is a really nice and very sincere man who cares deeply about his community. After several runs for public office, I do believe this is his first TAB endorsement.

Glad to hear it. Good luck next Tuesday Tom!
Tom. Forge ahead.
Thanks everyone. Thanks Greg for posting this. Here’s my PR piece:
Dear Friend(s):
The committee to elect Tom Sheff is pleased to announce that Tom has received the endorsement for Governor’s Council from the Newton Tab.
“This is significant,” said Sheff “this was the only time my opponent and I sat down for an interview for the Governor’s Council together. It’s an extremely important step, because a traditionally liberal newspaper, went with an independent today.”
The Governor’s Council of Massachusetts is a popularly-elected board which must give the governor advice and consent with respect to nominations of judges, clerkships, parole board members, notaries public and justices of the peace, and issuance of pardons and commutations. Sincerely, Tom Sheff

You’re welcome Tom. But did you read what they actually wrote about you?
I did. I’m not happy about it. I’m particularly disturbed at when they say vote for Sheff and in two years hopefully there will be a real candidate. But, I have to view it as a step in the right direction. And, if elected, it gives me 2 years to prove them wrong. Not mad. Puzzled, but not mad.
In the meantime, on the front page of the endorsement it says Vote Sheff and on the second page is all the bad stuff. Some people may not even see it. I don’t understand how they wrote all the good stuff for her and the negative on me and still came to the conclusion of endorsing me. We know they aren’t afraid to not endorse a hometown guy. Whatever.
Tom was pressing the flesh in front of Shaws in Newtonville today. I let him know he had my vote.
Thanks Kim.
