Take a look at that photo – there’s strings attached 😉
Great crowd last night. And an amazing amount of pizza.
Big thanks to Alderman John Rice for organizing and picking up the pizzas.
I betcha Jay Harney doesn’t do anything like this!
Charlie Shapiro was there making the rounds to collect signatures to run for the Governor’s Council. Charlie mentioned that it takes more signatures (> 1000) to run for the Governor’s Council then for state congress.
Great to see Jerry and everyone in the Highlands. Over the past couple of months, I’ve been approached by several experienced Democratic political folks (and others) who feel a change of the Governor’s Council District 3 seat holder would be an improvement and that I should consider running.
I’m gathering signatures from Democrats and independents in the event that I decide to run in the Democratic Primary on Sept. 6th.
If I remember correctly, State Rep takes 150, State Senate takes 300, GC takes 1000, and Congress is 10,000.
More importantly, congrats to John Rice on a well attended really nice event. 75+ pizzas enjoyed by all in just about an hour’s time!
