The Newton Nomadic Theater’s has just added an additional performance of “The Turn of the Screw”, an eerie mysterious ghost story for a winter’s eve on Sat March 14 at Gregorian Rugs.
So far, audiences have been loving it …
Had a fabulous theatre experience last night! Who knew that local theatre could be so wonderful! I encourage you to check out the Newton Nomadic Theater, that describes itself as “a new theater company dedicated to producing simply staged, high quality theater in unconventional theater spaces.” Currently showing Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw, the acting was stupendous and the venue, in its simplicity was amazing! You will love it!” – Ruth Balser<
Interested in seeing a brand new company doing striped down gorilla theater that moves from venue to venue with brilliant acting and gorgeous storytelling? You must see The Newton Nomadic Theater’s “The Turn of the Screw” by Jeffrey Hatcher starring Billy Meleady and Marge Dunn and directed by Billy Meleady. They perform at various venues through March 15. We saw it last night at The Waban Community Library, a beautiful stone building perfect for a ghost story. Th other locations will lend their own special feel to this beautifully acted story. – Nancy Curran Willis (director)
GREAT SHOW !!!! You should have heard the student responses. I couldn’t have plotted a better example of what theatre really needs to make it memorable…thanks!!!! – Director Nora Hussey, after taking her Wellesley College Directing Class students to a performance.
