If you, like me, had visions of watching Olympic marathoners run along the hills of Newton in 2024, think again, the Globe reports today

    If the course is “too easy” coming from Hopkinson to Boston, they could just verse the course, starting in Boston and ending Hopkinson.

    Dan, unfortunately it’s not only the elevation issue; in order to prevent advantages from tailwinds, a straight line between start and finish is supposed to be no more than 50% of the race distance.

    Have them start at Copley, head 1/2-way to Hopkinton and pull a U-ie?
