Back by popular demand, Village 14 Social Director Terry Malloy is organizing a Bloggers Night Out party at Mick Morgan’s (118 Needham St, Newton) on Monday Nov 24, 7-9 p.m.
Come meet your fellow Village 14 bloggers, commentators and voyeurs for a night of conversation and drinking. Politicians welcome too! Cash bar.
Wo…
Cash bar?
I thought the Newton/Needham Chamber had an entertainment budget. The whole reason that the Newton Blogosphere encouraged Greg’s migration from Media to Capitalism was THE EXPENSE ACCOUNT! HELLO? Okay. Tough times. Greg buys the first round.
Hope all the bloggers can make it. Greg loves buying drinks.
@Terry. You don’t really have to ask Greg. His generosity with the Chamber’s expense account is legendary. I know most of the regulars who show up for these things, but I’d really like to meet Elmo, Hoss, Marti, Joshua Norman and particularly Barry Cohen. Barry, I’ve long since forgiven you for not arranging some kind of government subsidy so I could buy that yacht for my out of country cruising.
… and Tricia, Joanne, Lucia and Mikes (both Striar and not)
Wow. I’m really disappointed I’m not going to be able to join you all! Wish I could break my plans, but my son would never forgive me.
Have a great time!
I know I missed the last one, but I’ve been to a few – including the inaugural outing at the Biltmore back when the event was associated with that other, lesser-known Newton blog. In fact, I seem to have gotten credit for the name – although I can’t remember why: http://blogs.wickedlocal.com/newton/2011/02/15/mark-your-calendars-2nd-newton-tab-bloggers-ball-in-one-month/#axzz3J4byxz3A
The get together seems like a great idea, but let not lose sight of communities in action. In grand Massachusetts style its important to note that to get the job done and effect change/not effect change the people have to show up and be counted!!
The town of Westminster brings that message home:

@Jim Cote – ??? Are the good citizens of Westminster planning on coming to the Bloggers Night Out?
I’m sorry I will not likely be able to make it due to a NNHS event- have fun!
