Ballot Question Four would entitle employees in Massachusetts to earn and use sick time according to certain conditions. Employees who work for employers having eleven or more employees could earn and use up to 40 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, while employees working for smaller employers could earn and use up to 40 hours of unpaid sick time per calendar year.

I’m just baffled that this could be a binding referendum… Why hasn’t the Mass Senate taken this into study? If they have, why no vote?
Can we really take signatures on such things as whether we should all get Monday’s off, and Massachusetts will let us vote on it in a binding way?
This feels like another one of those “binding” questions where we vote YES and then find out it was and the Commonwealth ignores us.
