Elliot Street Bridge Seismograph | Newton MA News and Politics BlogIf you happen to notice a suspicious looking piece of equipment attached to the underside of the Elliot Street bridge over the Charles River – don’t worry.  The city’s engineering department is measuring the bridge’s shake, rattle and roll with a small seismograph.  There’s been some degradation in the stone arch that supports the bridge and the city’s trying to get a handle on what’s going on.
