If only we allowed the T to own and rent property like some transit systems in Asia, we could actually have enough money to buy brand new equipment, extend the blue line to Lynn and Charles, have real time info on the green line etc. We must come up with better mechanisms to better capture this value increase around transit and funnel it back into system upgrades.
