Joe Kennedy III flip-flops on residency issue
Sooner or later every politician is going to let you down, even those politicians whose lineage links them directly to Camelot.
But who knew Joseph Kennedy III would back off from a position even before he officially becomes a candidate for the 4th Congressional seat being vacated by Newton’s Barney Frank.
Just three weeks ago, a Kennedy aide told the Boston Globe that the 31-year-old JK3 “plans to move to a Newton apartment Feb. 1.”
The next day the Newton TAB’s Chloe Gotsis was told the same thing.
But this morning we learn that the grandson of Robert Kennedy, grandnephew of President John F. Kennedy and son of former Congressman Joe Kennedy II, has already flip-flopped.
Here’s what JK3 told the Herald yesterday…
“I’m moving over to Brookline,” he said.
Now Brookline is a swell place. It’s even where his dad and Uncle John were born. And yes it’s part of the 4th Congressional District. But only time will tell if Kennedy’s fledgling career will survive his Garden City snub.
